Aghia Irini Chapel Fira

Positioned on the cliff side, some 2kms from Fira and boasting magnificent views, Aghia Irini Chapel is a very pretty wedding venue. The actual ceremony takes places on the panoramic terrace where a special gazebo, chairs, table, etc. can be organised on your behalf. To avoid the heat and complement the romantic vista, many couples choose to wed at sunset.

Any special decorations, including flowers and anything else to suit your colour theme, can be sourced and supplied by our local wedding co-ordinator.

Cocktail Parties & Wedding Receptions

Drinks can be arranged on-site for the chance to toast the happy couple after the ceremony on the terrace. Similarly, the terrace could accommodate up to 15 persons for a small reception although outside caterers would have to be hired as there is no restaurant facilities at Aghia Irini (there would also be an extra fee for the longer hire of the terrace). Should you prefer, we can make a variety of suggestions for your reception to take place at a local taverna, depending on your wishes and how many guests you have. Just let us know what you have in mind and we’ll do our upmost to make your wedding day as individual as you wish it to be.

The wedding package includes:

• Hire of wedding venue for 1 hour including gazebo with white drapes and ceremony table with white cover (red or white carpet and chair covers can be provided at a supplement)
• Lanterns
• Water for wedding couple & guests
• Champagne glasses, cake stand, plates & silverware for up to 20 guests
• Sound system (compatible with mp3 but not iPhone/iPad) - please bring your chosen songs on a USB key

To be pre-paid in the UK

• Wedding planning & administration fee (including assistance of the overseas wedding co-ordinator in resort, pre-wedding & on wedding day)
• Legalisation by FCDO of all documents you need to obtain plus translation fee
• Wedding venue hire & set up fee for wedding reception (when applicable)
• Registrar’s fee & ‘call-out’ fee for ceremony at the venue
• Wedding certificate
