Just 30 minutes from Faro airport, close to Albufeira and overlooking Salgados Beach and Lagoa Dos Salgados Nature Reserve, Vidamar Resort is a contemporary-style family-friendly hotel with a host of amenities.

Wedding ceremonies can take place in several areas of the gardens, including on a small wooden deck - all offering perfect backdrops to enjoy the best day of your life. And, as shown in some of the photographs below, the nearby beach of Salgados can also be an option.

Cocktail parties and reception choices are as tempting as any of the nuptial locations available and full details of what can be organised on your behalf will be discussed with you. One of the options offered to couples regarding where the wedding reception can take place is the opportunity to hire one of the resort's villas just for the day in order to enjoy a very private setting to celebrate their special day with guests. In all instances, please bear in mind that as there is a 'minimum consumption charge', Vidamar Resort is best suited to wedding parties of at least 40 guests.

As detailed below, wedding packages include a whole variety of extras to enhance your wedding day at Vidamar Resort. And as usual, please feel free to ask us for any other finishing touches you may require to further complete your nuptial experience and make it as bespoke as you wish it to be.

Standard wedding package includes:

• Free accommodation for bride & groom on wedding night
• Wedding ceremony at your chosen venue including ceremony table and chairs for your guests
• Aperitifs & canapés service for 1 hour
• Service of menu & drinks during the meal (white & red wine Vidamar selection, beer, soft drinks, juices, mineral water & coffee)
• Buffet service for 2 hours from the start of the buffet opening
• Standard table decoration (tables seating 10 persons)
• Standard menu printing
• Standard seating plan, with guests names, placed at the entrance of the reception venue
• Wedding night stay in a double-room, VIP treatment and breakfast after wedding night (early check-in / late check-out subject to availability but not available in July and August)
• 30 minutes massage for wedding couple at the hotel's spa and free entrance to the wet area of the spa (swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi & Turkish bath)
• Accommodation voucher for wedding couple for a 2-nights stay in a double room to celebrate their first wedding anniversary (not valid for stay in July, August nor over Easter, Christmas and New Year)

Where to stay

Vidamar Resort offers a good choice of rooms and suites boasting stunning sea views, pool views or facing the gardens. There are also 4 restaurants and a variety of bars and 3 seawater outdoor pools. An excellent kids club makes the resort perfect for families and the hotel's spa invites guests to experience a whole range of wonderful treatments, ideal for pre or post wedding pampering.
