This exquisite building sits in Luza Square, right in the heart of the Old Town and displays a wonderful mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles. Sponza Palace was originally the ‘Customs House’ but nowadays, this is where the State’s archives (a magnificent collection of manuscripts, books and documents that date back almost a thousand years), are kept.
The 15th century Sponza Palace is one of the most popular wedding venues in Dubrovnik and it attracts many couples keen to celebrate their very special day in very special surroundings. Here, the wedding package includes the use of the open roof central area of the palace for 2 hours, a perfect amount of time to set everything up (and take everything down) and enjoy a beautiful civil ceremony in the company of family and friends.
Cocktail Parties & Wedding Receptions
The ceremony venue also gives you the opportunity to toast the newly-weds at a drinks party and even a catered dinner for a maximum of 130 persons could be organised to take place at Sponza Palace. However, if you prefer, there is also an excellent choice of venues in Dubrovnik that we could suggest for your reception.
