Here's an absolutely gorgeous option for your wedding day in Kos. Kastri Island (well, actually, it's more a tiny 'islet' than an 'island), sits off the southern coast of Kos, opposite the resort of Kefalos. Rocky and rugged, it nevertheless boasts the ruin of an ancient stone castle on a small hill plus a picturesque little chapel made even prettier with its blue roof and blue door. How 'more Greek' do you want your Greek to be?
A local boat takes guests across to Kastri where they await the arrival of the bride (plus one person, if required) which we will organise on a separate smaller boat.
The actual ceremony venue is set up by the small chapel and stunning sea views truly complement the area. Taking place from 17.00hrs, the ceremony is conducted by the Mayor and it is worth knowing that this is just one of a few venues on Kos where couples can officially get married without the need for a Registry Office ceremony beforehand.
Once you've exchanged your vows and taken time to be congratulated by your guests plus of course pose for memorable photographs, we'll head back to Kefalos where we can recommend Cavo Greco Taverna (we've included a photograph below) for your wedding meal. The 'meze' on offer is just great and the menu will be discussed with you to suit your preferences. Included in the menu cost will be the layout of the tables and basic decorations - anything else such as flowers, etc., could be sourced for you.
